Nina has had a wide-ranging teaching career with experience working with a varied population of students. She began her teaching career in Ontario, Canada more than 15 years ago as a classroom teacher and then moved on to teaching enrichment mathematics to gifted and high-achieving students in Toronto.
Her passion for teaching students with dyslexia began in 2020 when she had the opportunity to study the Orton-Gillingham approach. Nina now has hundreds of hours of experience working one-on-one with students who have language-based learning differences.
Outside of teaching, she can be found exploring places she hasn’t been to, trying food she hasn’t tasted, and spending quality time with her family playing tennis, swimming, and hiking in the mountains.
Education/Professional Training:
Nina Kee has a Bachelor of Education (B. Ed.) and a Bachelor of Science Honours (B.ScH.) with Distinction from Queen's University in the Life Sciences Research Stream. She is a Dean’s Scholar, and a recipient of the Life Sciences Award from Queen’s University.
She is a member of the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) and is qualified to teach in the primary, junior, intermediate and senior divisions. Nina has been trained by Corey Zylstra, a Master Trainer of OG Canada and has completed her training and coursework at the Associate level. Nina has experience with students from grade one to grade twelve and uses the Orton-Gillingham approach to effectively help students of varying needs become more proficient in reading, writing, spelling and math.
Alfred is a business & technology leader who has built and scaled high performing technology and delivery teams in Director, VP and COO roles. He has breadth of experience from startups at inception to international enterprise scale. He has diverse industry experience in gaming, enterprise IT, digital agency, consumer packaged goods and retail including work for KPMG, Electronic Arts, Cisco, Harry Rosen, and Apple.
Alfred is a Project Management Institute (PMI) certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and recognized by the Scrum Alliance as a certified scrum product owner (CSPO), certified scrum master (CSM) and certified scrum professional (CSP). His project management background organizes teams for delivery and success.
Alfred is an entrepreneur and cofounder of multiple startups and uses his diverse experience and skillset to take care of EverfreeTLC's business operations including IT, Finance, Marketing and HR.
